Celebrate love, legacy, and the richness of Black culture at the inaugural Always You Affairs: Love & Legacy event! Designed for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, caregivers, and the community, this inspiring gathering brings Black history to life through storytelling, music, art, and a soul food-inspired menu.
Event Highlights:
- Storytelling Corner: Immerse yourself in the stories of influential Black figures as skilled storytellers bring their lives and legacies to life in an engaging, inclusive space.
- Love Notes & Art Gallery: Explore heartfelt artwork inspired by love, friendship, and the strength of Black heritage, and leave uplifting notes for the artists.
- Soul Food-Inspired Menu: Enjoy a delicious meal celebrating Black culinary traditions with favorites like chicken sliders, macaroni and cheese, greens, and sweet potato pie.
- Keepsake Giveaway: Take home a bookmark featuring quotes from Black historical figures and a mini heart-shaped keychain to commemorate the day.
